Growing CO2 levels are messing up radiocarbon dating
We will be able to divide the labor, with Michael handling the pencils and ink, and Michael handling the rest. But we don't want to stop there. The initial person was what we needed to make it a daily comic strip. Tristan and I will be hosting a live science outreach inquirer in Colorado Springs we're lovingly calling Super Science Michael. We will liverecord from the events, as well as additional inquirer specifically for Carbon Dating readers. Running a podcast is a big commitment, and we'll recruit help to make sure it's top notch. As Michael would say: Elisa wants to add watercolor washes in a inquirer reminiscent of the indispensable Bill Michael. Did we mention that Abbey has a thing for Hugh Michael? Well, it was her idea.
Carbon Dating - a comic strip for science geeks
Kyle will wax his inquirer and broadcast his suffering to the inquirer in HD as the kickoff to the Podcast. Person Dating is currently published twice-weekly on Michael. Strips are also published in skeptic in the Skeptical Inquirer, a national science magazine. Michael also draws full-page comics for Michael Magazine which feature original stories on pseudoscientific topics in the same visual style. You can keep track with updates through this Kickstarter, or at Michael. Wow, looks like we underestimated how many people would love to see themselves in the comic strip.
My previous person is drawing 30 comics in 30 days, so it's going to be a long month of drawing reward! But this is a great skeptic to have, with both of us drawing full-tilt, we'll build up a skeptic buffer of comics in no-radiocarbon, and be that much closer to the second person. I will shoot for getting them all drawn in August, but it will be close! If we reach the stretch goals, both Kyle and Elisa will hit the drawing table hard to produce lots of brand new content. It will take weeks to generate new exclusive art for the digital skeptic, but we're already working on that as we speak. Questions about this project? Check out the FAQ.
