August 14, 2015

Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners  will host its third annual fundraiser “Hope Floats” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Great Lawn Park, Yosemite Street and East Lowry Boulevard. The statewide provider for “in the moment” telephonic support and intervention for mental health or substance use issues, RMCP’s trained staff is available free of charge 24/7/365 to all Coloradans needing support, assistance or resources.

“Hope Floats” is a free family-friendly affair featuring a race of 5,000 sponsored plastic ducks competing for the finish line. Prizes include $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place. There will also be a $250 cash prize drawing for everyone in attendance. Duck sponsorship is available for $5 per duck, six for $25 or 25 ducks for $100 (five free ducks). All proceeds will benefit RMCP. Sponsorships can be purchased on RMCP’s Hope Floats’ website www.hopefloatscolorado.com.

“That Eighties Band,” one of the top cover bands in Denver and among the most popular ’80s tribute groups in America, will be entertaining the crowd. Food vendors will be on hand or event goers can bring their own picnic. People unable to attend can sponsor a duck(s) on-line. Sponsors do not need to be present to win race prizes.
