Flea flicker: Denver Flea brings back event series, beer festival

June 17, 2015
The Denver Flea, a second-year event series that is equal parts craftsman showcase, treasure hunt, and beer festival, will return for its fifth incarnation from noon to sunset June 27 and 28. This time, the Denver Flea pops up in a new location: the multi-decker parking garage at 27th and Blake.
The Denver Flea continues to offer free admission and special incentive for those who RSVP prior to the event — a free RSVP beer from New Belgium Brewing. Attendees can also purchase “Fleak Out!,” a specialty Flea beer brewed in collaboration with New Belgium Brewing, which will be tapping its second round of limited edition kegs.
“At the Summer Flea, we’re continuing to expand on our tradition of the Flea as an authentic Denver experience,” said Casey Berry, co-founder of Denver Flea and founder of Imbibe Events. “Our partnership with New Belgium —and our amazing new location — will lend to a convivial, collaborative outdoor pop-up experience for attendees and vendors alike.”
The Denver Flea, which brought more than 18,000 people to its Spring Flea in April, will unveil a host of new features and exhibit its community of more than 200 Colorado-centric return vendors as well as a handful of new additions. Wares range from handmade jewelry, leather goods, and artisan food products to local beauty lines, art, illustrations and beyond. Vendors include Spinster Sisters, Knotty Tie, Western Daughters and Rare Finds.
The garage takeover will allow live music on the top platform, more space, open-air style shopping and access to the outdoors.
“The public response to Denver Flea has been overwhelming. It’s been incredibly exciting to see community and friendship cultivated with each event,” said Blake Adams, co-founder of The Denver Flea. “For our fifth event, we’ll celebrate the Flea community with greater access to vendor stories through our Behind the Brand program and offer attendees more opportunities to engage with vendors at the event itself.”
Parking is  next door, and a food truck row will be located next to the garage at the entrance of the Flea.
Attendees can RSVP for their free beer at www.denverflea.com. To learn about our vendors and their stories, visit the website and scroll over “Behind the Brand.”
