Capitol Hill People’s Fair recruiting volunteers

Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods, Inc., is recruiting volunteers for the 44th Annual CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair to be held at Civic Center Park on June 6 and 7. Hundreds of volunteers are needed every year to assure the success of the People’s Fair and the enjoyment of the many fairgoers.

People’s Fair volunteers receive:

  • A 2015 People’s Fair official volunteer t-shirt.
  • An invitation to our annual CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair Kick-off Party.
  • Complimentary soft drinks and snacks during your shift, and complimentary beer after your shift (for those 21 and older).

To sign up to volunteer for the People’s Fair, please visit www.peoplesfair.com and fill out the volunteer form. Volunteers are needed for the following opportunities:

  • Information/Souvenir boothEnsuring that fairgoers are fully informed about everything fair related and can answer basic People’s Fair questions. Might be requested to work other booths if necessary.
  • Wine Pavilion – Volunteers will assist in wine serving and punch card purchases.
  • Volunteer check in/out – Direct other volunteers to their designated volunteer areas and assignments.
  • Entertainment – Help execute entertainment aspect of the People’s Fair by directing bands to the appropriate stages and much more.
  • Green SquadHelp keep the People’s Fair sustainable by informing the fairgoers of the appropriate recycling and compost receptacles for their waste.
  • Kids and Family AreaProvide supervision of the young fairgoers in the kids area, and help with craft activities.
  • Site set-up/tear downHelp transform the streets of downtown Denver into the People’s Fair by helping set up and tear down the fairgrounds both June 6 and 7.
  • Spirit teamAdd spice to the fairgrounds by decorating with balloons, banners, signs, sidewalk chalk and more.
