Wine bar and wood-fired pizza place coming to Loveland

August 20, 2014

Local residents and wine sommeliers, Jeff Noffsinger and Suzanne Alley, are opening Origins Wine Bar & Wood Fired Pizza at Lincoln Place (northeast corner of Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue) in Loveland. A grand opening is planned for the fall.

Origins Wine Bar & Wood Fired Pizza will feature a seasonally inspired menu focusing on wine and food pairing that promotes sustainability with locally sourced ingredients.

The artisinal dining experience will feature a wood fired oven made in Naples, Italy, and imported through Denver’s Ellie Olsen of Wood Fired Oven Baker, bringing truly authentic Napoletana-styled pizza to northern Colorado.

The lunch menu also will offer fresh salads and Italian-style panini. Dinner also will include Latin and European inspired shared plates created by executive chef Jocelyne Fay, originally from Beirut, Lebanon. A full-service bar will feature a value-oriented wine list from around the world, hand-crafted cocktails, and local microbreweries on draft.

The restaurant will be serving organic Italian gelato made fresh daily. Wine education will be offered through monthly wine tasting groups and special events held in The Wine Library Cellar Room.

“The Euro-urban style restaurant will be a great addition to downtown Loveland where residents have voiced a desire for more choices and diversity in the downtown urban dining experience,” said Mike Scholl, Loveland’s economic development director. “Combined with showcasing our local artists in the design of the project, it can only benefit our community.”
