Dunkin’ Donuts celebrates ‘Shark Week’ with Shark Bite

August 6, 2014

The Shark Bite Donut swims into Dunkin’ Donuts stores through Aug. 14 as part of “Shark Week,” returning Aug. 10 to the Discovery Channel.

The Shark Bite Donut is a yeast ring topped with white and red icing designed to resemble a life preserver — something everyone will need to survive this TV event. In partnership with Discovery Channel, Dunkin’ Donuts invites donut fans to “Take a Bite, Take a Pic” and share selfies taking a bite out of the round pastry on Twitter or Instagram using hashtag #DDSharkWeek. Prizes include a $100 Dunkin’ Donuts Card and a Shark Week Prize Pack.

Participants may also be featured on Discovery Channel’s “Shark After Dark,” as host Josh Wolf will encourage viewers to visit www.SharkWeek.com/Dunkin to vote for the “Dunkin’ Bite of the Nite.” Winning photos will be revealed on the show, and the winning pictures may also be featured on Dunkin’ Donuts’ billboard in Times Square. All entries must be received by 5 a.m. our time on Aug. 14, 2014 to be eligible for consideration.
