LUNAFEST, the traveling fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, will be hosted by Clif Bar & Company at the Boulder Theater in Boulder on Thursday.

AURORA SHOOTING VICTIMS’ FAMILIES contend two foundations broke state law by failing to get their permission before using the slain victims’ photographs on a Facebook page and website that encouraged donations.

IT’S DIFFICULT to live healthy lives when communities lack infrastructure and facilities that encourage physical activity, health foundation exec says.

TODAY FROM BLACKTIE’S PENNY PARKER: Matt Selby, the 15-year kitchen captain at Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben’s, is leaving the organization he helped elevate to top-eats status. “It’s time for a new and different challenge,” Selby said in a statement. “It’s been an incredible 15-year run and I am proud of everything (owners) Josh (Wolkon), Jen and I have accomplished. We have built three successful restaurants together, appeared on four Food Network shows, had multiple visits to the James Beard House and written a cookbook. We have traveled the world and done a ton of philanthropy work together. It is just time for me to take what I have learned and try something on my own. It’s time to leave the nest.”

BLACKTIE’S SISTER COMPANY, Efficient Tickets, will handle ticket sales again this season for Colorado Chorale. The first event, “A Night at the Theatre,” is Oct. 12.

YOU SHOULD USE EFFICIENT TICKETS for your next ticketed event. Online ticketing is inexpensive, consumer-friendly and provides your organization with valuable purchasing and entrance data. Contact Brett McCann-Lehl at 303-339-3819.
