Manning jersey nabs big dough for charity

April 27, 2012

New Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning’s jersey netted $1,350 in what’s likely the first live auction of the No. 18 shirt during a bowling and NFL draft party hosted by long snapper Lonie Paxton and 20 teammates Thursday at Celebrity Lanes in Centennial.

Seven hundred people attended along with Broncos players including Champ Bailey, Wesley Woodyard, DJ Williams, Cassius Vaughn, Lance Ball, Demaryius Thomas and Chris Kuper.

The event was a benefit for the Active Force Foundation. More info: activeforcefoundation.org.
