For the third year in a row, The Ritz-Carlton Denver has achieved the coveted Five-Diamond rating from AAA, the highest in the hospitality industry.
The luxury hotel is the only Denver property with the AAA Five-Diamond rating, and it was the first hotel to achieve that ranking. The hotel is officially the most decorated in the city with five diamonds and four stars.
“Thank you to each and every one of you for your ongoing service commitment to our guests,” said Steven Janicek, The Ritz’s general manager. “Without your attention to detail, anticipation and fulfillment of guests needs and genuine care and comfort, maintaining and achieving this accolade would not be possible.”
Design and dine
Cherry Creek Mall shoppers are used to the center’s lavish holiday displays, but a working custom kitchen in the Grand Court? That’ll be a first.
The $180,000 full-scale kitchen cranks up the heat starting today when Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine and William Ohs Showrooms host the inaugural Home & Lifestyle show, a benefit for The Denver Hospice, this weekend.
The three-day show will feature a living kitchen surrounded by exhibitors showcasing the latest in home and lifestyle products. The event will also include a Design & Dines Series of cooking and design demonstrations using the kitchen.
The kitchen will remain in the shopping center through Oct. 27 so visitors can get a closer look at the latest and greatest equipment and design ideas.
The schedule for the Design & Dine demos, which start at 11 a.m. today, is posted at www.homeandlifestyleshow.com.
Stand Up for Aurora
In response to the tragic theater shootings in their hometown, a group of Aurora natives have founded a non-profit devoted to rallying support for the community among Aurorans across the country and around the world.
Wende Curtis, owner of Comedy Works and John Ewing, principal of Millennium Development Solutions, have been working together on the formation of Stand Up For Aurora, a group of concerned Aurorans who grew up and left the city and want to come back to support those who have been affected by the senseless event at the Century 16 Theaters.
Stand Up For Aurora’s big event is a dinner gala and silent auction on Oct. 14 at Wings Over the Rockies Museum. Silent auction items include art, family rafting and zip-line packages, restaurant gift cards, ski passes, Missy Franklin-signed U.S. Olympic collectables, a Peyton Manning jersey signed by all five of his offensive linemen and golf packages across the state.
