Tavern Downtown growing Movember Stache Bash

In an effort to raise awareness of men’s health issues, the Second Annual Movember Stache Bash will be held on Nov. 20 at Tavern Downtown, 1949 Market St.  The event is from 6 to 10 p.m. and there is no charge to attend.  On-site donations to the Movember Foundation USA are appreciated.

The Movember Foundation USA is dedicated to having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.  Their annual Movember campaign involves the growing of mustaches during the month of November to benefit men’s health through awareness, education and research.  Tavern Downtown’s Movember Stache Bash will feature a DJ, $5 Guinness special, “Mo” games, photo booth and award for Best Mo.  Ladies can join in the fun with faux staches. Raffle prizes will include GQ Barber Lounge shaves, gift cards and more.  Unique Guinness glasses will be personally engraved on-site while supplies last.

Sponsors for Movember Stache Bash are Guinness, Westword, GQ Barber Lounge and Play Mile High Sports.  Owner of Tavern Hospitality Group, Frank Schultz, said, “I’m really excited that our sponsors have joined us in supporting such an important cause.  I think we’ve all had friends or family who’ve been touched by health issues that are specific to men, like prostate cancer.  We wanted to help raise funds for research and treatment.  It’s important to me to try to make a difference.”
