Go Fish! during a celebrated chefs and seafood dinner at Baur’s

August 17, 2015

Baur’s Restaurant and Listening Lounge, and Denver-based Seattle Fish Co. team up with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program to bring Denver new flavors with Go Fish! – an ocean-friendly seafood celebration from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 26. Tickets are available now at www.baursrestaurant.com/event/monterey-bay-aquarium-seafoodwatch-go-fish/.

Go Fish! presents an exclusive taste of dishes from Denver’s premier chefs that showcase delectable and unexpected seafood selections from environmentally friendly sources. The strolling dinner includes fish donated by Seattle Fish Co. along with craft beer, wine and cocktails. The event is hosted by chefs Dory Ford (Baur’s Restaurant and Listening Lounge), Sheila Lucero (Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar) and Kelly Whitaker (Basta and Cart-Driver). All three Denver chefs are members of the Seafood Watch Blue Ribbon Task Force, a national group of culinary leaders who are committed to improving the food system and preserving the ocean.

“Denver already has great farm-to-table restaurants and a vibrant dining scene that demands quality, sustainable products,” Ford said. “I’m excited to work with Seafood Watch and my fellow chefs to show Denver diners that some of the best, most sustainable fish can be found a mile above sea level.”

Ford, Lucero and Whitaker will be joined in the festivities by many other influential Denver chefs who are committed to sustainability.
