Comida, the popular Mexican spot with locations in Longmont and at The Source in Denver, is the latest restaurant to join the growing list at Stanley Marketplace, which will open its doors at 2501 Dallas St. in Aurora next year.
The roughly 3,500-square-foot Stanley space will feature an outdoor patio overlooking Westerly Creek and the development’s large green space. This location will feature the same daily cocktail and food menus as the other cantinas, and will include antojitos (or “street snacks”), tacos, tortas, tostadas and more. Also, like the other locations, unique creations from the head chef at the new Stanley location will also be available.
“I am really proud of my first two locations; they are part of communities that stretch people’s ideas of how dining and living can be experienced,” said Rayme Rossello, Comida’s owner. “They both thrive because of the energy and creativity that surround them. The same feels true for the Stanley; Stanley Marketplace is about community, and it’s about fun. I like both of those things a lot.”
Developed by Stapleton-based Flightline Venture, the more than 22-acre, 100,000-square-foot Stanley Marketplace was once Stanley Aviation headquarters, where airplane ejector seats were engineered and manufactured. The same innovative spirit that once filled this building has been harnessed to offer community members an urban marketplace featuring goods and services from local and independent businesses, as well as a spacious community park and indoor/outdoor event venue. Information about additional restaurant tenants and programming will continue to be released in the coming weeks.
“We’re extremely excited that Comida will be among the dining offerings at Stanley,” said Flightline Ventures partner Mark Shaker. “It will be a huge asset to the development – and the surrounding communities.”
