Coohills’ popular Beats on the Creek summer concert series returns from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting with the Hazel Miller Band on June 16.
Set on Coohills’ spacious outdoor patio and along the adjacent bridge over Cherry Creek in LoDo, the live music series allows patrons to enjoy the weekly free concerts at high-top tables with the Rocky Mountains visible in the background, as the band plays at the southwest end of the bridge. Guests can always purchase a Colorado Kölsch brew or one of Coohills’ signature cocktails – a Bee’s Sneeze with Aviation Gin, lemon juice, black pepper honey simple syrup, cream and cracked black pepper – from the bars also set up along the bridge.
Each week, the restaurant will offer a silent auction for a Coohills gift card and bottles of wine, as well as community-donated items, the proceeds for which will go directly to the LoDo District. In addition, during the July 21 concert featuring That Eighties Band, guests are invited to don ’80s attire to compete in a best costume contest; the first place winner receives a $100 Coohills gift card and the second place winner gets a bottle of wine.
The full lineup for the 2015 Beats on the Creek, which runs through Aug. 4, is as follows:
