Saying good bye is hard to do.
Which is why it made it a burden Thursday night at The Art Hotel when invited guests feted Denver City Councilman Charlie Brown on his departure from his term-limited post. Brown, an adopted cowboy said to the assembled crowd, “This job is where the rubber meets the road. I’m glad it’s over; I have been screamed at, shouted at and shot at. This is a lonely job.”
I thought that Brown was a welcome addition to Denver City Council, and I will miss him. Love you, Charlie!
