Snap up some freebies during Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs’ anniversary

Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs, that snappy hot dog stand next to Bastien’s at 3525 E. Colfax, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary Friday and Saturday.

“Wow how time flies!” said owner Steve Ballas. “When  we opened 10 years ago, some folks said the it wouldn’t work. Well, here we are and in this day and age it is a feat to be open that long and still experience success.”

Steve’s has expanded the menu to include gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as house-made chili, green chili and it’s own beer, produced by the Bull & Bush.

During the anniversary weekend, Steve’s will be giving away Hostess Twinkies and Cupcakes, Gummy Hot Dogs, limeade and Steve’s Snappin Ale, while supplies last.
