Jewish Family Service of Colorado welcomes Earvin “Magic” Johnson as the speaker for its 11th annual JFS Executive Luncheon fundraiser on May 7. The luncheon will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, 650 15th St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the program will start at noon.

All proceeds will help support all programs of JFS, including mental health counseling, senior and adult in-home care, disability and employment services, and family safety net services. Founded in Denver in 1872, JFS is a nonprofit community agency serving people regardless of age, race, faith, or income.

In 2012, as a member of Guggenheim Baseball Management, Johnson became an owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball franchise. In 2014, he also partnered in purchasing the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA.
Johnson serves as chairman and founder of the Magic Johnson Foundation, where his unwavering commitment to transform urban America continues through its HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention program, community empowerment centers, and the Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program. Celebrating over 20 years of success, the Magic Johnson Foundation has become one of the most recognized philanthropic organizations in the world.
