The Denver Center for the Performing Arts hosts its 35th annual signature fundraiser, Saturday Night Alive, on March 7 with entertainment by Jessie Mueller and Jarod Spector. Tickets are now on sale at denvercenter.org/sna.
Mueller and Spector, the two stars from the Tony-nominated hit Broadway show, “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” will entertain Saturday Night Alive patrons with an evening of Broadway songs and pop tunes. Mueller won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Carole King.
Spector received a 2014 Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and also is well known for playing Frankie Valli in more than 1,500 performances of “Jersey Boys”. These two stars represent the best of Broadway today.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts PR pro Susan Stiff will chair the event this year.
In addition to the song stylings of Mueller and Spector, Saturday Night Alive attendees will be able to participate in a surprise box sale, computerized silent auction and bidding via smartphone, dinner, desserts and dancing in the Seawell Grand Ballroom.
Hosted by the Denver Center Alliance, Saturday Night Alive brings together a crowd of 800 leaders from the Denver community for a celebration of the theater. Net proceeds from the event, totaling more than $17.4 million over the past 35 years, support DCPA Education.
Saturday Night Alive is held on March 7 in the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex at Speer and Arapahoe. Tickets to Saturday Night Alive are on sale; individual tickets start at $400 and tables of 10 start at $6,000. Call 303-446-4815 or visit www.denvercenter.org/sna.
