The Colorado premiere of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) The Musical comes to the stage at 7:30 tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at Crossroads Theater, 2590 Washington St., in the heart of the downtown Renaissance district of Five Points.
WYSIWYG takes a modern twist on gender identity. April, a transgendered woman, is so anxious to live her secret life on the World Wide Web that she cannot enjoy the here and now. While feelings and emotions expressed online are real, they remain hidden and elusive in the cold reality of our day to day world; ironically, she does not fully exist in either world and fears she could die without ever having truly lived.
