COLORADO FURNITURE MAGNATE JAKE JABS is behind a group called American Tradition Partnership, reports The Center for Public Integrity, which calls the organization “a secretive pro-energy nonprofit,” The Denver Business Journal reports. Known throughout Colorado for his American Furniture Warehouse chain of stores and the commercials he does for them, Jabs pledged $300,000 in seed money to the organization. The Center for Public Integrity said Jabs couldn’t be reached for comment. The center’s piece is here.

A LAWSUIT is postponing plans by University of Wyoming Foundation and Colorado State University Research Foundation to sell a ranch they jointly own in southeast Wyoming.
